She Wrote ‘My Girl’ but They Never Came Back

When I was five, five men stood in our living room and sang a song my mother wrote — a song the world would come to know as “My Girl.”

She poured her heart into that song, and they promised they’d come back if it ever became something big.

It did.

But they never returned. And that pain lived in her forever.

This is her story.

Directed by Pelly Sewell (USA).
