Rooary is a young lion who stands out from the rest, not by size or roar, but because he has no mane. At two years old, while other young lions grow into their royalty, Rooary is bullied, mocked, and judged for his differences. His worried parents try everything to shield him and help him grow a mane, but nothing changes. Unknown to them, an ancient prophecy foretells that a king will rise; a king who must endure struggle and humiliation to build the spirit, bravery, and compassion needed to rule the animal kingdom. And although he acquired the mane that he had always so dearly wanted, he understood that it was what was in his soul that made him truly special. Rooary’s emotional journey moves from insecurity to courage as he learns that true power is not found in appearance, but in heart. “Rooary” is a story about destiny, bullying, self-worth, and the brave spirit that grows out of adversity, a lesson for children, families, and anyone who ever felt different.
