Against the weight of violence and poverty, a working-class Mexican woman reclaims her future. Pregnant at fifteen, she raises three children in the shadow of a life she refuses to pass on. With no safety net and little margin for error, she makes a quiet, radical choice: to break the cycle. Through endurance, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve, she builds a different destiny for her family. Years later, her children stand as the living outcome of that decision, one is a doctor, the other is a chemical engineer and the third an electrical engineer, a testament to a mother’s defiance and love.
