In 2019 President Trump abandoned the U.S. commitment to Kurdish freedom fighters who had been fighting ISIS terrorists, together with U.S. troops, for years. His foreign policy decision was one of the most cowardly in American history. My song “Ahmed Barzani” is an attempt to thank the Kurds for their role in eliminating the scourge of ISIS from the world stage.
