In the liminal space between childhood and adolescence, a group of young girls remain enclosed in their fragile cocoons, yearning for the maturity they observe just beyond their reach. Through the veil of innocence, they gaze at the older, more confident teens who glow with the allure of womanhood. Their hearts ache for the transformation they see but cannot yet attain. “L’Empreinte” explores the quiet longing and internal struggles of girls on the brink of adolescence, watching the blossoming of others as they await their own. Inspired by the 1901 poem, “L’Empreinte” by Anna de Noailles.
